Driver found in fatal hit-and-run, police say

MARYSVILLE — Snohomish County sheriff’s detectives found the Jeep Grand Cherokee they believe that struck and killed a Marysville woman on Wednesday.
Investigators also believe they have found the driver, a 41-year-old north Snohomish County man, sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said. The man has not been arrested, she said.
Nicole Francis Cheek, 58, was killed in an apparent hit-and-run on the Tulalip Indian Reservation. She died after suffering multiple injuries to her torso and legs, the county Medical Examiner’s Office announced Friday.
The incident remains under investigation.
