The Hero Quilters will meet 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Aunt Mary’s Quilt Shop at Smokey Point.
The quilts are made for wounded soldiers in Washington through the American Hero Quilts organization. All quilts go to wounded soldiers from this area.
The American Hero Quilts were started by a Washington resident who wanted to give a quilt to every injured soldier at Madigan Army Hospital and other Veterans Affairs hospitals in Washington. Each quilt is unique. Aunt Mary’s Quilt Shop is at 3325 169th Place NE, Suite D, Smokey Point.
