Skier airlifted after 100-foot fall

An injured skier was airlifted today after taking a fall in the wilderness east of Granite Falls, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Kevin Prentiss said.

The man was skiing in the Lake 22 area when he reportedly fell about 100 feet, Prentiss said. He suffered a knee injury, Prentiss said.

Snohomish County Search and Rescue crews conducted the rescue operation.
