Sarah Brightman coming to Everett

Sarah Brightman has already conquered Broadway and the Billboard charts; will Everett be that much of a challenge?

Brightman, the only singer to top the Billboard classical and dance charts simultaneously, plans to play Comcast Arena at the Everett Events Center on Dec. 14, Comcast Arena announced.

A soprano, Brightman gained fame on Broadway, starring in “The Phantom of the Opera” and other productions by her ex-husband, Andrew Lloyd Webber. The couple, who met on the set of “Cats,” married in 1984 and divorced in 1990.

Brightman’s most recent album, “Symphony,” debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard Top 100 following its January release.
