Snohomish County Explosion pounds Tacoma Jazz 147-129

TACOMA — In just his second game back with the Snohomish County Explosion, Justin Murray scored 58 points in the 147-129 victory over the Jazz of Tacoma Friday night.
Murray had been on a three-month hiatus playing for Dubai in the United Arab Emirates League before returning to the Explosion lineup last Monday.
Murray took little time getting warmed up, scoring 35 points in the first half and leading the Explosion to a 80-64 lead midway through. When it was all said and done Murray was 8-for-11 from behind the arc, 14-for-16 at the free throw line and 18-for-26 from the field with 14 rebounds and three assists.
Jamal Miller was the Explosion’s added 23 points, four rebounds and five assists. Seven Explosion players scored in double-figures in the win, which brings their season record to 11-9.
Assistant coach Mike Moss led the team in head coach Randy Redwine’s absence. Redwine was in Florida for family business. The Explosion host Central Oregon tonight in Monroe.
