Local Briefly: Driver injured after crashing stolen car

EVERETT — About 30 minutes after a 1990 Honda Accord was reported stolen from a parking lot along the Bothell-Everett Highway, the car was found flipped on its top in the middle of I-5 in south Everett.
The driver was thrown from the car and critically injured, said Washington State Patrol trooper Keith Leary.
The driver was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with life-threatening injuries, Leary said.
The accident occurred about 11:15 a.m. on I-5 north near 128th Street SE.
Traffic through the area was backed up while police investigated.
Police are still trying to determine what caused the rollover crash.
Mukilteo: Man shoots himself in shoulder
A Mukilteo man was rushed to a hospital Tuesday after he reportedly shot himself in the shoulder.
The man’s injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, Mukilteo police detective Lance Smith said.
The incident happened about 6 p.m. in the man’s home in the 900 block of Fourth Street.
The man, 27, allegedly told police he accidentally fired the gun. The shooting remains under investigation, Smith said.
