Seahawks bus service not available this year

Because of a new rule levied by the Federal Transit Administration that requires private transportation companies to bid on bus service, the park-and-ride shuttle to Seahawks games will not be available this season.
Seattle’s Metro bus service offered rides, at the cost of $3 per trip, from locations like Northgate Park &Ride on game days.
Now the team is encouraging fans to use Sound Transit Express buses, which stop within three blocks of Qwest Field.
In accordance to the new rule, the Seahawks negotiated with a charter bus company that, according to the team, would have charged an increase of $14 per passenger.
“We are very disappointed,” Se ahawks CEO Tod Leiweke said in a statement put out by the team’s public relations department.
