MUKILTEO — Friday night’s wrestling meet between Kamiak and Jackson opened with a dedication to former Kamiak head coach Doug Baer. It ended with a decisive Kamiak victory.
Kamiak wrestlers took eight out of the first 10 contests on their way to a 48-27 Wesco South victory at Kamiak High School.
When Jackson pulled within 28-12, Kamiak’s John Linari fought through a knee injury and pulled out a come-from-behind 5-3 decision over Jackson’s Connor Martin at the 140-pound division to take control of the meet for good.
“He… got it done for the team and for coach Baer,” Kamiak head coach Tracy Regan said of Linari.
