Winning the close ones

The unbeaten Stanwood High School softball team is enjoying one of the best seasons in program history. Propelled by two top-notch pitchers (Brittany Jeans and Corinne Stillman) and a balanced lineup of hitters, the 14-0 Spartans have outscored foes 59-10 and lead the Western Conference North Division. Stanwood has been stellar under pressure, going 8-0 in games decided by two runs or less (see below).
