EVERETT — A SWAT team was called to a house Tuesday night to serve a warrant.
Everett police forces were assisting Mount Vernon police when they were called to the 6000 block of Fleming Street about 8 p.m., Everett police Lt. Jim Duffy said.
Police arrested one man in connection with the case at a fast food restaurant, Duffy said. Another person was detained for questioning.
Rochelle Pierce and her husband saw police while they were driving home Tuesday night. They stopped, along with many neighbors, to watch SWAT team members in full gear close in on a house, Pierce said.
“I’ve never seen anything like this,” she said.
People in the neighborhood were not in danger during the operation, Duffy said.
