EDMONDS — The second of three people accused of abducting two women outside Top Food last week has been arrested.
The person has been booked into the Snohomish County Jail on the charge of second-degree kidnapping, according to the Edmonds police.
Police are asking for help in looking for the third man believed to have participated in the kidnapping.
A 21-year-old Everett man was jailed last Friday when he and two other people allegedly kidnapped his ex-girlfriend and her sister just after midnight that day.
The victims were walking into the grocery store when the three people allegedly charged them and forced them into a car, according to a police affidavit filed this week in Everett District Court. Police were called.
Police found the 21-year-old man and the woman in a car near a motel where she had been staying. She told officers her ex-boyfriend tried to strangle her in the car, according to the court document.
Detectives are still attempting to find the third suspect. They have released a digital image from store surveillance of the last suspect.
Edmonds police are asking to be contacted if anyone recognizes the individual or has any information about this crime. Anonymous tips can be left on the department tip line at 425-771-0212.
