EVERETT — Arson investigators still are waiting for evidence analysis to determine what sparked the Nov. 9 fire that destroyed Emory’s at Silver Lake, a popular landmark restaurant.
The fire’s damage was estimated at $2 million and left about 50 people unemployed, officials said.
The cause of the fire hasn’t been determined, Everett police Sgt. Robert Goetz said.
“We’re still waiting for evidence processing to be completed,” he said Friday.
Officials haven’t said if they believe the fire was intentionally started.
Investigators had said they would release more information about the fire this week.
“The fire is still under investigation,” said Kate Reardon, a city spokeswoman. “The cause has not been determined.”
