About two dozen Everett High School students were uninjured Wednesday morning when a car rammed the back of their school bus, officials said.
The students were being taken to school on Olympic Boulevard near View Ridge Elementary around 7 a.m. when the collision occurred.
The driver was ticketed for negligent driving, Everett police Sgt. Robert Goetz said. The man couldn’t see out his windshield because he hadn’t scraped off the frost.
The car received extensive damage but the bus just appeared to have a bent tail pipe, officials said.
A second bus was dispatched to take the students to school as a precaution, said Mary Waggoner, a school district spokeswoman.
“No students were injured,” Waggoner said.
With winter weather moving into the region, drivers are reminded to clear their windshields before hitting the road, Goetz said.
