OAK HARBOR — Cascade shot to a 21-point lead at the end of the first quarter and cruised to a 90-66 Wesco North win against Oak Harbor on Friday at Oak Harbor High School.

The Bruins, who remain undefeated in league play, racked up 22 rebounds and 17 assists.

“I’m really impressed by how well we shared the basketball,” said Cascade head coach Jamar Williams.

Senior guard Chris McGrath scored a team-high 26 points for Cascade and Johnnie Hilliard added 21 points. Anthony Barton added four steals and three assists.

Cascade’s Jordan Garrett, with 16 points and nine rebounds, was another star player.

“His energy gave us stability on the inside tonight,” said Williams.

A strong defensive game also helped elevate Cascade over the Wildcats and the Bruins compiled an impressive 15 steals and eight blocks.

Oak Harbor sophomore Michael Washington Jr. scored a game-high 27 points.

“That was a rough start and we fought back to cut the lead to 13 but we weren’t able to push it farther,” said Oak Harbor assistant coach Justin Ronning.
