EVERETT — Police are looking for the gunman in an early Tuesday shooting at an Everett nightclub that injured three people.
A man is believed to have opened fire into the crowded club with a handgun after he was kicked out of McCabe’s, a bar in the 3100 block of Hewitt Avenue, Everett police Sgt. Robert Goetz said.
Two women and one man, all believed to be in their 20s, were hurt, Goetz said. None of the injuries is believed to be life threatening.
The trouble started around 1:30 a.m. Police were called and arrived at the club to find about 200 people leaving the bar, Goetz said.
Nightclub employees told officers a man was kicked out for trying to steal alcohol from behind a bar. The man re-entered the bar and “had to be escorted out again,” Goetz said.
The suspect then opened the front door and fired into the nightclub, Goetz said.
Police said the suspect is black, in his mid-20s with a medium build and about 5 feet 7 inches tall. He was wearing a red jacket and red hat, possibly with a Seattle Mariners logo. Witnesses said the suspect drove off in a newer model silver Jaguar.
