Clean-air meetings: The Puget Sound Clean Air Agency is conducting three meetings today on how to burn cleanly and efficiently in wood stoves for home heating.

With the economic downturn, the agency is finding that more people are using wood to heat their homes, but inefficient stoves and fires cause unnecessary smoke and the resulting damage to air quality.

The meetings are 11 a.m. at Anderson Fireplace, 14616 Smokey Point Blvd., Marysville; Rich’s for the Home, 16504 Highway 99, Lynnwood; and Monroe Fireplace &Stove, 19922 U.S. 2 in Monroe.

Sharing Wheels requests $10 be left with each bike to help defray the costs of shipping and repairs.
