Prep volleyball: 2A District 1 playoffs

LANGLEY — Anacortes defeated Archbishop Murphy in five games to earn a berth in the Class 2A state volleyball tournament and advance to the District 1 championship game against Burlington-Edison on Saturday.

Anacortes defeated Archbishop Murphy 23-25, 25-23, 25-15, 19-25 and 15-13.

Anacortes defeated Granite Falls 25-20, 25-12 and 25-20 to advance to its match against Archbisop Murphy. The Wildcats defeated Sehome 25-16, 19-25, 25-18, 25-21 in its earlier match.

LYNDEN — Burlington-Edison defeated Lynden 25-14, 25-17, 25-17 to advance to state and the district title game. Burlington-Edison defeated Mt. Baker 25-13, 25-13 and 25-18 to advance to its match against Lynden. Lynden defeated Lakewood 25-8, 25-14 and 25-11 in an earlier match.
