Steelhead update

Prime time for native steelhead now on the Forks-area rivers, with more than two fish per rod checked last week on the Sol Duc. Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife personnel found the following: Bogachiel, 30 boat anglers and 2 bankers with 8 wild fish kept, 16 wild fish released, and 3 hatchery fish kept; Calawah, 12 boat fishermen with 8 wild fish kept, 12 wild fish released and 1 hatchery fish kept; Sol Duc, 57 boat and 5 bank fishermen with 9 wild fish kept, 112 wild fish released, 8 hatchery fish kept and 6 hatchery fish released; lower Hoh, 9 boat and 7 bank anglers with 6 wild fish released; and upper Hoh, 6 boat and 11 bank anglers with 12 wild fish released.
