Prep softball: Lynnwood 6, Glacier Peak 2

BOTHELL — Lynnwood’s Kelsie Mason Mason (2-2) pitched a complete game in which she allowed just one earned run on six hits, striking out two and walking three. The Royals broke a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the fourth inning. Jasmine Edwards led off the inning with a single and Kelsey Parker came up with one out and laced a double to score Edwards. Gott came to the plate next and her single, one of four she had overall, plated Parker. The Royals (1-1 league, 2-2 overall) added two more runs in the sixth. Alexis Michael, Glacier Peak’s (0-1, 1-2) second baseman, went 1-for-3 with a double to lead the Grizzlies.
