SNOHOMISH — Freshman Callie Bircher pitched a no-hitter for Glacier Peak (1-1 league, 2-2 overall) in the Wesco 3A game. The Grizzlies No. 1 pitcher has suffered a thumb injury, according to Glacier Peak coach Brad Johnson, pushing Bircher to the forefront. “She was really strong tonight, hit her spots,” Johnson said. “I’ve been really impressed.” The Grizzlies scored two runs in the second inning against Oak Harbor (1-1, 1-2), adding another in the third and two in the sixth. Centerfielder Alexis Michael batted 3-for-4 to lead the Grizzlies.
