Archbishop Murphy High School football player Sam Shober had the fifth-highest SPARQ point total during the Nike SPARQ Combine June 4 in Portland.
Click here to read an ESPN RISE article about the combine, which featured around 600 athletes.
The article about the Nike SPARQ Combine includes the following report on Shober, a Class of 2012 tight end/linebacker:
Shober is a talented athlete on both sides of the ball and could play linebacker or tight end in college. He had a solid junior season earning first team all-area and honorable mention all-state honors. Shober shows very well on film and is one of the most physical ‘backers in the state. He runs well for a big guy and has all the physical tools you could want in an emerging inside linebacker.
According to Shober’s dad, Shober does not have any football scholarship offers yet but will attend several other college camps this summer.
