Mount Baker Highway now open to Artist Point

The last 2.7 miles of the Mount Baker Highway opened today. Drivers can now reach Artist Point. The road closes every year due to the heavy snow that falls in the area. Read more here.

I visited Artist Point earlier this year while it was still buried under a ton of snow. It was gorgeous. You can see some photos of the views here.
