Seattle Storm forward Tina Thompson earned her second WNBA Western Conference Player of the Week award this season on Wednesday for the week of Aug. 26 through Sept. 1.

Thompson averaged 21 points and 8.7 rebounds in three games during that span, shooting 12-for-12 from the free-throw line in the process.

The Storm went 2-1 for the week and locked up their 10th consecutive spot in the WNBA playoffs, a league record.

The 38-year-old Thompson announced earlier in the year that she will retire at season’s end, though she has been the Storm’s offensive leader throughout the campaign.

The player of the week award is Thompson’s eighth of her career.
