CORRECTION: charter-review candidates are Republican, not Democrat

In an Aug. 26 post “Familiar names on ballot for county charter-review commission,” I referred to candidates Dustin Goodnight, Randy Hayden and Mark Young as Democratic precinct committee officers. In fact, they are Republican precinct committee officers.

Hayden also is Snohomish County’s Republican state committeeman and a member of the state Republican executive committee. He is a past Republican legislative candidate.

Goodnight, Hayden and Young are among 16 candidates on the November ballot for three positions on the Snohomish County charter-review commission from County Council District 3, a district that includes Edmonds, Lynnwood, Woodway and nearby areas.

I regret the error.
