Still not as big an embarrassment as “Gigli”: The popular genealogy series, “Finding Your Roots,” is back after PBS briefly pulled the series when actor Ben Affleck convinced producers to remove a segment that discussed an Affleck ancestor who was a slaveholder. The show has hired a new fact-checker as one of the reforms.

It was that or rename the series, “Whitewashing Your Roots.”

Does he grade on a curve: Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders says he plans to give a “major speech” to explain the tenants of democratic socialism, the political and economic ideology that he embraces.

Those attending the speech should bring two No. 2 pencils and a blank blue book for the test following the lecture. Those with passing grades will be eligible for a Cabinet post in the Sanders White House.
