Lake Stevens | Football

Nelson, a senior, had five of the Vikings’ six sacks in a 63-7 win over Kamiak in a game broadcast on ESPN U.

Delaney Hopen

Shorewood | Volleyball

Hopen, a senior, finished the week with eight aces, 30 kills and 21 digs as the Thunderbirds defeated Edmonds-Woodway and Glacier Peak. Shorewood plays Marysville Getchell and Oak Harbor this week with a chance to finish the regular season undefeated.

Carley Wika

Marysville Getchell | Girls Soccer

Wika, a junior, returned from a concussion to score two goals in a victory over Lynnwood on Tuesday and played a key role for the Chargers in a tie against Glacier Peak on Thursday to help keep her team in playoff contention.

Kincaid Norris

Snohomish | Boys Tennis

Norris, a junior, capped off the fall season with a 4A district championship. Norris is undefeated this season and helped lead the Panthers to an undefeated season and the league championship. Norris will compete at the state tournament in May.

Victoria Nguyenle

Meadowdale | Girls Swimming &Diving

Nguyenle, a senior, finished first in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:10.09 on Saturday, dropping her state qualifying time once again.

Yukino Parle

Edmonds-Woodway | Girls Cross Country

Parle, a sophomore, won the Wesco championship on Saturday with a time of 18:41.33. Parle edged out Mariner’s Abbie Steenhauer, who finished second with a time of 18:49.14.

Nathan Beamer

Arlington | Boys Cross Country

Beamer, a senior, won the Wesco championship on Saturday with a time of 15:41.50, edging out Kamiak’s Cullen McEachern, who finished second with a time of 15:49.12. Arlington also won the team championship.
