Look to bottom of ballot for transportation measures

If you’re looking for the Sound Transit proposition or the Lynnwood Transportation Benefit proposition on your ballot, look at the end.

They’re the very last items on a long ballot.

In Edmonds and Lynnwood, Sound Transit Proposition 1 is the 36th item, after nine state ballot measures, seven Snohomish County charter amendments, president, U.S. Senate, U.S. House, governor and eight other statewide offices, two places in the state legislature and five judicial positions.

In Lynnwood, Transportation Benefit District Proposition 1 is 37th and last.

In unincorporated areas of South Snohomish County, the Fire District 1 tax renewal takes the 36th place, pushing the Sound Transit measure to 37th.

Mountlake Terrace and Brier voters also will find the Sound Transit measure in 37th place because they’re in the 1st Legislative District, which has a state senate seat on the ballot.
