STANWOOD — A pickup and a semitruck collided Wednesday morning in the Freeborn area northeast of Stanwood.
Both drivers, 61-year-old men, were hurt. Their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, said Shari Ireton with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash was reported just before 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of 300th Street NW and Old Highway 99.
Early findings show the pickup driver was likely at fault, Ireton said. He is from Stanwood. The other man is from Burlington. Both were taken to area hospitals in ambulances.
Crews initially asked for a medical helicopter, but later called it off, according to the fire department.
There was no indication that speed or impairment were factors, Ireton said. The Washington State Patrol was asked to conduct an inspection of the semitruck.
