Student artists win national medals

Eight Snohomish County students received National Medals in the 2017 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards and their work will be displayed in June in New York City.

– Nadia Domnina, Silver Medal, photography, “Determined,” Kamiak High School
– Yea Rin Park, Silver Medal, architecture and industrial design, “Table Sample,” Kamiak High School
– Amanda Parks, Silver Medal, painting, “Fallen Chair,” Stanwood High School
– Abigail Spurling, Silver Medal, photography, “Chained to Earth,” Sky Valley Education Center
