Caregiver class: Parents and caregivers of a child or teen with mental health issues are invited to a free six-week course from the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Snohomish County. The evening classes are held Tuesdays, May 9 through 30 and June 13 and 20, at First Presbyterian Church, 2936 Rockefeller Ave., Everett. Registration is required. Learn CPR: Snohomish County Fire District 17 in Granite Falls plans a CPR and first aid class from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 13 at the downtown fire station. Scholarship: Cedar Grove will award a $2,500 scholarship to a graduating senior at Everett High School. The deadline to apply is May 5. More info: cedar-grove.com

Citizen police academy: The Mill Creek Police Department plans to hold a free citizens academy. Classes are held in the evenings from May 17 through June 12. Applications can be found on the department’s website.
