Expect delays from sign replacement on I-5

EVERETT — Drivers who use southbound I-5 and westbound Highway 526 (the Boeing Freeway) to get to south Everett or Mukilteo should prepare for possible delays Sunday morning.
From 12:01 a.m to 7 a.m., Washington State Department of Transportation maintenance crews plan to close several lanes of westbound Highway 526 and the southbound I-5 offramp to replace two overhead signs. The new signs will be more reflective, making them easier to read in the dark.
A signed detour will be in place.
