Ten $2,000 scholarships were awarded May 9 at the Providence General Children’s Association annual meeting.

A new award honoring long time PGCA volunteer Jeannette Pearson was presented to Malea Rae Oliveria, who clocked 612 volunteer hours this past year in the Children’s Center and at Camp Prov. Oliveria is a senior at Marysville Getchell High School.

Other scholarship winners: Christina Boyce (Everett High, 159 volunteer hours), Mackenzi Chapman (Marysville Pilchuck, 171 hours), Jiedan Tan (Kamiak, 236 hours), Matthew Wang (Jackson, 184 hours), Frankie Perry (Kamiak, 180 hours), Siena Utt (Everett, 192 hours), Noelle Phillips (Archbisop Murphy, 289 hours), Adam Alayli (Kamiak, 132 hours), and Abigail Brandt (Archbishop Murphy, 96 hours).
