Hear Japanese-American history
Mayumi Tsutakawa, whose father was the renowned sculptor George Tsutakawa, will talk about her family’s 100-year history in Washington during a free presentation scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Rosehill Community Center, 304 Lincoln Ave. in Mukilteo. Her father taught at the University of Washington and his sculptures are displayed in the Puget Sound region.
The event, open to anyone, is presented by the UW’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, which organizes educational programming for older adults.

Interurban trolley talk
Jeanne Rogers will give a “History of the Interurban Trolley from a Motorman’s Perspective” at the Wednesday meeting of the Sno-Isle Genealogical Society, held at 22015 48th Ave. W, Mountlake Terrace. There is a brief meeting at 6:30 p.m.; the program starts at 7. Rogers is the daughter of the last motorman on the Interurban, and also worked for the railroad.
On a related note, the next open house to tour Interurban Car 55 is 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 10.

ORCA students present work
Students in the Ocean Research College Academy, an early college program for Snohomish County high school students on the Everett waterfront, will present their research findings at a Possession Sound Student Showcase, set for 2:30 to 5 p.m. Thursday . That’s also World Oceans Day.
The campus is on the second floor of the Waterfront Center at 1205 Port Gardner Way.

Series of Everett Transit workshops
Everett Transit is planning three public workshops so people can weigh in and offer feedback on a new 20-year plan for the agency. The first workshop also will include a presentation and question-and-answer session with project staff.
The first session will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Weyerhaeuser Room at Everett Station, 3201 Smith Ave. Follow-up sessions will be held 4 to 6 p.m. June 10 in the Everett Mall near the Massage Envy store, and from 12 to 2 p.m. June 12 in Gray Wolf Hall at Everett Community College.

Trunk sale needs vendors
The Camano Center plans its next Trunk Sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 10 and seeks vendors, who can sell things from the trunks of their vehicles. Spaces are $35, or $25 for Camano Center members. Register in person at the Camano Center, 606 Arrowhead Road.
The event is free to shoppers and will include a beer garden and brats for sale.
Other upcoming Trunk Sale dates are July 15 and Aug. 19.
