Brier teen is West Point bound

Jordan Burtt, of Brier, won a National Washington Crossing Foundation scholarship, given to high school seniors planning careers in government service. Burtt is headed to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
Burtt is a student leader and football captain at King’s High School in Shoreline. He earlier received the Army Scholar Athletic Award. In his free time, he performs with the Living Faith jazz group and volunteers for Seeds of Hope and a horse rescue facility.
