Rotary presents Youth Challenge Awards

The Rotary Club of Lynnwood held its 25th annual Youth Challenge Awards on May 18. The Youth Challenge Awards recognize Snohomish County individuals and groups in grades 7-12 who have shown a strong commitment to personal excellence, leadership development and community service.
Community Service: Alexa DeMerchant, Lake Stevens senior
Courage: Michael Barbee, Mariner senior
Creativity: Shalyn Ensz, Scriber Lake senior; and McKenna Sessions, Lynnwood senior
Leadership: Kate Neumeister, Kamiak junior
Inspiration: Natnael Abraham, Mountlake Terrace senior
Group Award: Alderwood Boys and Girls Keystone Club
Overall Award for $5,000: Kaeleigh Daza-Smith, AIM High School senior
