EVERETT — Police have completed their investigation into alleged fraud by the former president of the Hawthorne Elementary PTA in Everett.

Investigators are asking prosecutors for charges of theft, identity theft and forgery, officer Aaron Snell said Friday.

The suspect is a 28-year-old Mount Vernon woman. She is accused of misappropriating about $10,000 over the course of a year. That number is less than previous estimates.

The allegations became public in May.
