RIDGEFIELD — The Washington State Patrol says a Vancouver man was killed when he stumbled into I5 traffic near Ridgefield and was struck by an SUV.
The patrol says Valentin Reyes-Guitierrez, 51, died in crash late Saturday.
The Columbian newspaper says troopers believe alcohol or drugs were a factor in causing Reyes-Guitierrez to stumble into traffic.
The driver of the SUV, a 53-year-old man from Hillsboro, Oregon, wasn’t injured. Neither was his passenger.
