EVERETT — A man killed by an Everett city bus was knocked into the road as he was trying to get into a car, police said Monday.
The man had exited the black car Friday night in the 8100 block of Broadway, between Beverly Boulevard and 75th Street SE. He knew the woman who was driving, officer Aaron Snell said.
He was on the driver’s side of the four-door car, trying to get back in, when she drove off around 10 p.m., Snell said. He was knocked into the path of an southbound bus. He died at the scene.
Hours later police found the car in Mukilteo. Detectives spoke with the woman, and they were still working Monday to clarify exactly what happened. She was not arrested.
The man’s age and identity had not been confirmed Monday by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.
