Students serve in Olympia as pages, sponsored by Lovick

Local youth recently served as pages at the state capitol in Olympia.
Isaac Yi is a student at Heatherwood Middle School in Mill Creek. He is interested in politics and is thinking about a career as a lawyer or public servant.
Sarah Hole, a student at Cavelero Mid High School, is a member of her school’s robotics club and enjoys rowing in her free time.
Eric Yarnot, a student at Saint Michael Catholic School, plans to attend Archbishop Murphy High School in Mill Creek this fall.
They were each sponsored by Rep. John Lovick, D-Mill Creek.
Pages perform a wide variety of responsibilities, from presenting the flags to distributing amendments on the House floor. In addition to contributing to the efficient operation of the Legislature, pages receive daily civics instruction, draft their own bills, and participate in mock committee hearings.
