The Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve on April 19 honored Andrea Holliman with a Patriot Award. Holliman is a supervisor with Providence Medical Center Women’s Services at the hospital’s Pacific campus. She was nominated by Sgt. 1st Class Monica Alvarez, a member of the Washington Army National Guard and a medical technician who works under Holliman.

The Patriot Award recognizes employers who support their employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserves.

“I nominated Andrea because she and my coworkers have all stepped up for when I had to leave for six months training and even for the weekend drills that are now three days,” Alvarez said in a statement.
