Yoga for kids

Children are invited to learn some fun and relaxing yoga poses during a free program 2 p.m. Saturday at the Mukilteo Library, 4675 Harbour Pointe Blvd. Bring a mat if you have one. Mats also will be available to borrow. No experience required. Stretch, breathe and work out some wiggles.

Teen night pool party

The Lynnwood Recreation Center holds a Nightwaves Teen Night at the pool, 8 to 11 p.m. Saturday at 18900 44th Ave. W. Cost is $5 with school ID for teens in seventh and eighth grades. A dress code will be enforced.

Teddy bear clinic

South County Fire holds an open house to celebrate Emergency Medical Services Week, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Fire Station 15, 18800 44th Ave. W. Activities include a teddy bear clinic. Children are invited to bring a favorite stuffed animal to be a “patient” and receive emergency care.

Other activities include tours, dress-up and a first aid program.

Open house at Legion Post

The Earl Winehart Post No. 96 of the American Legion is hosting an open house from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at 1201 First St. in Snohomish. Visitors must be at least 21.

“Come by and see what we are all about and do,” Post Cmdr. Pat Guyot said.

Rummage sale to help student

A rummage sale to benefit the Everett Rotary Youth Foundation is set for 9 a.m to 4 p.m. Saturday at Compass Health, 4526 Federal Ave., Everett. Proceeds will support a Cascade High School sophomore’s upcoming trip to study in South Korea for the 2018-19 academic year as part of the Rotary Youth Exchange program.

Fundraiser for horse nonprofit

Hissy Fit Farm in Granite Falls is having an open house and fundraiser, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 19 at 4915 Scherrer Road. Find opportunities for mini lessons and demonstrations of therapeutic riding lessons. Bid on silent auction items or buy raffle tickets. Proceeds benefit the JoyRide therapeutic riding program.

Cool Girls in Aerospace

Cool Girls in Aerospace is being offered this summer in Mukilteo in partnership with Edmonds Community College and the Washington Aerospace Training & Research Center. The program, which runs from Aug. 14 to 17, provides up to 10 middle school girls with an introduction to careers in the aerospace industry. Local girls, age 12 to 16, who will attend middle school or high school this fall are eligible to apply. The deadline is June 1.
