EVERETT — An Everett woman is headed to prison after admitting injuring her 4-month-old son last year.
Margaret Dan, 24, pleaded guilty in April to second-degree domestic-violence assault of a child.
She was sentenced Tuesday to three years in prison.
Witnesses told police that Dan had punched the baby. The child still suffers from the effects of brain trauma, according to a statement provided to the court from caregivers.
Dan has been in jail since her April 2017 arrest. She will receive credit for time served. She cannot contact her son for 10 years.
