Motor home towing a car rolls over on I-5 near Arlington

ARLINGTON — A person was injured after a motor home rolled over on northbound I-5 near Arlington Monday afternoon.

Two people were in the vehicle, which rolled down an embankment near King-Thompson Road around 2 p.m. The motor home was towing an unoccupied car. The driver was not injured, but the passenger might have broken ribs, Washington State Patrol trooper Heather Axtman said.

An aid car came to the scene, but it was unclear if anyone was taken to the hospital.

The right lane of northbound I-5 was closed as of 2:30 p.m. while a tow truck crew worked to move the vehicles. Axtman did not know when it would reopen but said it could take a while.
