Navy League Lake Washington and Everett Council held its annual spring dinner at the Bellevue Red Lion Hotel on May 16, where it recognized three enlisted crew members of the USS Kidd (DDG 100), which is home ported at Naval Station Everett. Serviceman 1st Class Randy Castillo, of Queens, New York, was named Sailor of the Year. Logistics Specialist 3 Justin Best, of Brooklyn, New York, was named Blue Jacket of the Year. And the Junior Sailor of the Year was Fire Controlman 2 Jonathon McNease, of Chantilly, Virginia.
