This video shows person of interest in fatal Everett assault

EVERETT — Everett police are searching for a person of interest in the suspected homicide of a Snohomish County man.

Jay Dana Agostinelli had been in a fight with a man just after midnight May 24, near a bus stop in the 1200 block of Broadway, according to Everett police. He suffered skull fractures and other head injuries. He died more than a week later. He was 62.

Police have not said how they believe the fight started. Detectives believe a weapon was used against Agostinelli. Witnesses told officers the other man ran from the scene, east on 12th Street.

Security video released Wednesday morning showed a man in dark clothes pacing along a white fence, near garbage bins. Police consider the man a person of interest and hope to talk with him.

Agostinelli was homeless, living in Everett and Marysville, police said.
