Teachers highlighted by law office

Everett attorney Rick Merrill sponsors an Educator of the Month award program that honors local teachers with $500 awards and a plaque. Recipients are nominated by the public. Winners this school year included Marissa Nilsen of Centennial Middle School in Snohomish; Autumn Ipock of Mount Pilchuck Elementary in Lake Stevens; Aminda Gonzales of Sky Valley Education Center in Monroe; Nick Brown of Arlington High School; and Diane Meyer of Lakewood Middle School.
The firm also awarded two $1,500 Dream Scholarships to Casey Benson and June Chang.
