Signal near Alderwood mall finally activated

LYNNWOOD — A new traffic signal at a crash-prone intersection near the Alderwood mall was activated Friday.
The signal was installed last year where the southbound Highway 525 offramp meets Alderwood Mall Parkway. But the finishing touches have waited for warmer weather, and so the signal hung unused for months.
The $1.2 million project included other improvements, including a marked crosswalk on the east side of the intersection.
