STANWOOD — City administrator Ryan Larsen is leaving his post for a job with a private development company.

Larsen announced his resignation Thursday. He plans to stay through July.

Mayor Leonard Kelley is working on a transition plan while the city searches for a new administrator, according to a news release. Larsen was appointed to the position a year ago to take over from Deborah Knight, who accepted the job of city administrator in Monroe.

Larsen previously worked as the community development director in Stanwood. Before that he worked for a private developer.
