Local students earn WWU scholarships

Western Washington University has awarded scholarships to local students for the 2018-19 school year.
Katrina Duttkin, of Everett, received the $4,500 Career Preparation for Computers Scholarship. Duttkin graduated from Mariner High School in 2016. She majors in mathematics and hopes to graduate in 2020.
Paige Shimkus, of Stanwood, received the $2,000 Gordon and Alice Fraser Scholarship. Shimkus graduated from Lakewood High School in 2018. She plans to major in journalism.
