Foundation awards more than $10,800 in grants

The Cascade Valley Health Foundation recently awarded grants to five local organizations to support community health and services:

• $3,500 for Snohomish County Volunteer Search and Rescue for an automatic external defibrillator

• $2,800 to the Stillaguamish Senior Center for its 2019 National Council on Aging “Aging Mastery” program

• $2,500 to Arlington Kid’s Kloset to purchase new clothes, shoes, socks, underwear and hygiene supplies for students in Arlington and Darrington

• $2,000 for Stilly Valley Health Connections (Public Hospital District 3 of Snohomish County) to continue a mental health counseling project through the summer at an Arlington elementary school

The Foundation also purchased an all-terrain vehicle for the Arlington Police Department to help officers and social workers reach homeless encampments.
